Underneeth the surface

The painting explores the idea that everything begins to take shape beneath the surface. Something growing quietly underneath, gathering strength, wanting to emerge. Think about everything it takes for something to finally break through. All the layers. All the barriers. All the resistance it must overcome to reach the surface.

Like an egg breaking open. Everything that has been forming in silence, everything that has been growing within, until it finally gathers enough strength to break through the shell.  The same happens with a tree. How many roots have grown before you ever see the first branch. How much it has expanded in silence, in the darkness, unseen, before what finally emerges above the surface becomes strong and solid.

Growth begins in the darkness, behind closed doors, in the places no one else can see, in your habits, in your pauses, in the challenges you choose to face, in the moments when you act even though you are afraid, in the truths you choose to speak up, even when you know they may create noise around you, because you also know they need to be spoken.

This is the energy of the painting. It is what is taking shape beneath your skin. The transformation you are moving through.  And just because you cannot see the results on the outside yet, it does not mean that growth is not happening.

Something is changing within you. Something is taking form. Something is becoming stronger. Have the courage to peel away. Have the courage to remove the layers, to take off the bandages, to let go of everything that has been covering you, so that the real you can finally come to light.
